NSU will host Scholars' Day

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

     NATCHITOCHES –  The Louisiana Scholars’ College at Northwestern State University will host Fall Scholars’ Day on Saturday,  Nov. 14.  Activities will take place in Morrison Hall.  All students and parents who are interested in learning more about the Louisiana Scholars’ College are invited to attend. 

     Fall Scholars’ Day will begin with registration at 8 a.m. at Morrison Hall, followed by a welcome and introduction of faculty at 9 a.m.  Prospective students can tour classrooms and attend an academic and organizational browse while parents participate in a Parent Panel.  A tour of campus and residence halls will be followed by a luncheon at noon.  The cost for the lunch is $10 per parent or guest.  Informational about financial aid and scholarships will be presented from 12:45-1:15 p.m. Students can attend a student panel at 1:15 while parents are offered a tour of Natchitoches.  Senior interviews will take place at 1:45 p.m.

     A Spring Scholars’ Day is scheduled for Feb. 27, 2010. 

     The Louisiana Scholars' College at NSU is Louisiana's only designated four-year, selective-admissions honors college in the liberal arts and sciences. The Scholars' College was established in 1987 and offers students the opportunity to pursue their academic and personal goals in a supportive atmosphere.
