FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NATCHITOCHES – The first NSU Service Fair will be held Thursday, Feb. 25 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Friedman Student Union.  Admission is free and open to the public.

The NSU Service Fair will provide a way for college service organizations, individual students, and Natchitoches residents interested in community service to explore different opportunities available in the local community.   Service-oriented organizations and providers in the Natchitoches and surrounding areas have been invited to participate in this the fair.

This event is part of NSU Service Week and is sponsored by the Department of Student Activities.

“We recognize the importance of service and the Service Fair is an excellent opportunity for students and others to learn more about serving the community” said Kirk Lee, assistant director of Student Activities and event coordinator.  “As service learning continues to become a more important part of the University experience, this is a great opportunity for faculty and staff members to research ideas for future projects.”

For more information about Service Week and the Service Fair, please contact the Office of Student Activities at (318) 357-6511 or email leek@nsula.edu.
