Organizers hope to attract high schoolers to education.
Educators Rising Conference Feb. 26
Minnesota teacher of the year will be guest speaker

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Gallaspy College of Education and Human Development will host a conference for high school juniors and seniors who are considering the field of education as a career. The “Educators Rising Conference” will be held from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26 at the Teacher Education Center on the NSU campus.

 Keynote speaker for the event will be Katy Smith, 2011 Minnesota Teacher of the Year. Multiple break-out sessions will be available. Lunch will be provided.
