NATCHITOCHES – More than 450 high school seniors and almost 400 parents attended Northwestern State University’s annual Fall Senior Day last Saturday. It was one of the largest Fall Senior Days held at NSU.
“In the 20 years since I have been working to help put on Senior Day, this was the best one we have ever had,” said Director of University Recruiting Jana Lucky. “The large turnout shows that top high school students in Louisiana and east Texas are interested in the strong academic programs at Northwestern State along with the other parts of student life that provide a complete college experience.”
The prospective students attended a panel with current NSU students that gave them a perspective on college life. A panel for parents covered scholarships, financial aid and campus housing. Tours of campus student housing and historic downtown Natchitoches were available.
Academic departments at Northwestern State had displays and faculty were on hand to answer questions. A number of campus organizations provided information for prospective students and discussed the variety of extracurricular activities available at Northwestern State.
