NATCHITOCHES – As part of the “greeNSU” initiative, Northwestern State University will kick-off a campus-wide recycling program on the Natchitoches campus beginning in August. The project is being made possible through a partnership between the city of Natchitoches and the university.
NATCHITOCHES - Campus housing at Northwestern State University will be at 100 percent capacity this fall as students have signed up for all available space in University Columns and University Place Phases I and II.
NATCHITOCHES - Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education will an Emergency Medical Technician Basic Certification beginning Tuesday, Sept. 15 in Room 132B of Dodd Hall. The course will last until Jan. 31, 2010. Class dates may vary due to the instructor’s work schedule.
NATCHITOCHES - Paula Furr, head of the Department of Journalism at Northwestern State University recently attended the Oxford Round Table at Oxford University in England. An invited participant, Furr was one of 29 attendees there to discuss “Education and Cyberspace Law.”
NATCHITOCHES - Eddie Higginbotham of Jennings, a senior health and exercise science major at Northwestern State University, was the second runner up for the Reginald E.F. Colley Award presented by Theta Chi Fraternity recently in Philadelphia. The award was presented at the Fraternity’s annual Chapter Leadership Conference. Higginbotham was one of 13 finalists for the award.
NATCHITOCHES - As Northwestern State University is preparing for the fall 2009 semester, the university is also rolling out a redesigned Web site.
