Northwestern State University’s College of Nursing and Allied Health is presenting is a seminar on legal liability issues for nurses Friday, Nov. 4, at the NSU-Leesville/Fort Polk campus. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The seminar starts at 7:50 a.m.

Jim Kilcoyne, director of the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Northwestern State University, has received professional designation as a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional.

A Baton Rouge couple has created an endowed professorship in accounting at Northwestern State University in memory of three gentlemen who helped them as students. Ellis and Juanita Coutee of Baton Rouge presented the gift to the Northwestern State Foundation in memory of former Natchitoches residents Richard A. deVargas, Andres LaCaze and Dr. William Henry Pierson.

Northwestern State University’s College of Nursing and Allied Health will hold an open house to commemorate Radiologic Technology Week. Faculty and students will welcome guests from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 at Northwestern State’s Shreveport Nursing Center, 1800 Line Ave.

Northwestern State University will host an executive and committee planning meeting for the Louisiana Council of Student Body Presidents, a group that represents over 214,000 higher education students statewide. COSBP executives from across the state will meet in Natchitoches Nov. 4-5.
